SBR is short-barreled rifle.

CRB is the Carbine version.

SMG is the automatic version.

It's not a single shot, it's a semi-auto. NO you can not convert it. (At least not easily.)

Krissking, just out of curiosity, are you in the United States? If so, it seems as though English is not your first language. Not a big deal, but sometimes it can hinder one's understanding of the law.

Firstly, you will most likely want to remove the image you have posted and then remove your vertical foregrip. That is, unless you have the proper BATFE paperwork for a registered AOW. The vertical grip is a no-go unless you have a tax stamp. The angled grips, including Magpul's, I think most will agree are fine, as per BATFE rulings. It may be a nonsensical law, but it is the law nonetheless and violating it can produce some very severe criminal penalties including prison.

Next, unless you are a Special Occupational Taxpayer and have gone through some major hoops, the answer is NO to your first question. So, if you don't understand what SOT and Title II are, then you're most likely not one. It is not lawful to manufacture a new select fire, or automatic / machine gun, for most people. Attempting to do so can be very dangerous and illegal.

Lastly, semi-automatic means that each shot discharged requires one manual pull of the trigger. There is no such thing as a single shot Kriss, aside from you manually loading one shot at a time. The Kriss you have pictured above is a semi-auto.

Scary stuff, guys.

Two carbine models, one with the old version stock, and one with the new AR adapter block. I lumped the CA/NJ/etc state compliant pinned stocks in here, but I guess that's a third version.

Two pistol versions, only difference being the barrel length 5.5" and 6.5" and threaded / non-threaded.

The factory SBR, also two different barrel lengths, and threaded / non-threaded.

Then there's the SBR / SMG version only available to the jackboots and SOT's. Same thing with barrel lengths and thread options.

I'm not sure if there are other options available in other countries, but it's possible.

The new Kriss site is much better than it used to be, and most info is there now, just takes a little bit of searching.

Let me know if I missed anything.

Edit: So I guess that puts it somewhere around 15+ factory variants? Sorry I didn't add them up in the last post. That's more than I would have thought, and I'm sure that there are other options available that aren't listed or that I didn't think of.

Are you in the United States? Other countries have different laws and I'm not interested in or familiar their laws, for the most part.

But, I'll only answer this question one more time. The answer is NO. That is unless you go through the process, which can take years and thousands of dollars, to do so. This link will show you some of the basic info about our laws here in the United States.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Firearms_License

I wish the answer was yes, because it is our right as citizens to do it, but because of politics, we may never have that right again.

Just out of curiosity, how much experience with firearms do you have?

I guess I should mention too that there are several places all across the US where you can RENT machine guns at designated times and places and shoot as many magazines as you are willing / able to pay for. But it gets expensive fast, usually $25 - $60 per magazine, plus the general admittance price.

It is almost the same. I have an SDP with the 6.5" 16mmLH threads. Looks like you have the 5.5" SDP model.

Did you read what I was saying earlier about your vertical grip in the front though? You definitely need to take that off if you live in the United States. Otherwise it is an unregistered Any Other Weapon or AOW and it's illegal. Just trying to help a fellow gun person out, not trying to be rude.

As far as I know, they both came out at the same time. The shorter one is obviously more concealable, while the longer one might give you a little more velocity from the same ammunition. Really there is no difference.

You might be able to hit the edit button. If not, I'm sure Solscud will be around at some point and help you out.
