New Kriss owner with jamming problems Empty New Kriss owner with jamming problems

Post by Zio Tue Mar 31, 2015 1:21 pm

Purchased my new Kriss vector carbine about two months ago.  Upon purchase I shot it at the range and experienced a jamming issue before the last round.  One of the employees recommended lubing the loading ramp.  Didn't help.

The last two weekends, I shot at an outdoor range and found the jamming was more than just a stuck round.  The rounds were deformed, damaged or flattened which looked dangerous.

The range staff said it could be the aluminum casings but experienced the same type of jamming problems with PMC bronze.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you called Kriss to see if your vector requires any upgrades? Ive been meaning to but right off the bat my SDP and CRB have different hammers when I inspected them. I have had FTE/FTF issues with the CRB and no isses with the SDP.

I spoke with Kriss Arms yesterday and they want me to send it in... What has been the usual diagnosis?

When I got those FTEs and FTFs the CRB was clean. Literally it was my first time shooting it. Maybe after like 40 rounds through it before the FTEs and FTFs started. Gun was lubed and looked over by me. Wasnt soaked with lube or anything crazy. I was in the Marine Corps for five years and know how to properly clean and lubricate a firearm. Rounds were Federal brand new same kind I used with my SDP. I still haven't had issues with the SDP. Probably shot around the same amount of rounds through both. Used same mags gen 4 for both also cleaned the mags after the range. Has to be the internals unless im forgetting something.

Yes, unfortunately California isn't too bright when it comes to firearms.

I just purchased a straight stacked (versus supplied offset stack) mag by Glock hoping this will help...

Your best bet is send it in, they will go through check it out and like some of the other owners,  the problem will be corrected and probably go away until you wear it out. Very Happy
