Managed to get back to the range this past weekend. After keeping the bolt locked open for a couple of weeks, they are still plenty strong, but no more issues with charging.

I'm wondering if some graphite based grease would help, something like anti-seize. I may give that a try.

I too was amazed when I first got mine how "difficult" it was to pull the charging handle…

After reading through here, I gave it a good cleaning and used some CLP. It was immediately and noticeably better. Not to mention as stated above once you know what it feels like or the effort it takes, its no biggie. 100 round down range and its again noticeably better.

I think part of it is "break-in" and also realizing/knowing, its not going to feel like your other rifles charging handles...

Yea, pretty much nothing about the Kriss feels like "every other gun."   beers

I've sent my Kriss SBR in and was told it was fine. I've asked lots of people who own them if it's normal and get mixed responses. Recently TheFirearmBlog did a review of the firearm. I asked the editor and he didn't have issues. I've tried shooting about 1000rnds and leaving the bolt locked to the rear for months. I really don't want to send it back to Kriss because it's a NFA item. Oh I've also wondered if putting my lower in a full auto upper would work? I thought about dumping 500rds on full auto to see if it breaks it in. I've posted a video on youtube. Any suggestions?

Hi guys well i havent posted in awhile but mine was never hard to charge back. What i did do for awhile was charge it and leave the bolt locked back and it seems to have worked i charged mine easy i havent had any ftfs or anything mine was worked flawless since day one. I have tried many random types of ammo and its been a great experience so far!

I have only taken mine out to the range 2x since purchasing, but noted everyone who has tried shooting it (6 people) I am the only one who has been able to load a round first pull on the charge handle, and it is super snug. Hopefully it breaks in with a brick of 45ACP through it

Mine is in the early 5300 range and still completely unreasonable, I have broken it down several times, cleaned it up and greased the living hell out of it. I just started leaving it locked back to see if that helps. After the multiple cleaning and re greasing I can get it to charge with three fingers and a lot less bruising but it is still in the 35-40lb of force range. I have seen a few people charge theirs with little effort and I can tell you this is still not the case with my firearm.

I was thinking KRISS might have got there shit together and fired the idiot who "fixed" my Vector for hard charging, but I dealing with some awful customer service. I've emailed CS rep back and hopefully everything will be made right. I guess we shall see. If not I'll share some interesting stuff.

Did you try the methods posted here? Keeping the bolt locks open for over a couple weeks?

I tried leaving it open for almost a year. Also tried charging it hundreds of times.
I think it's the spring and the trunnion doesn't seem to ride in the rails very smoothly.

You mean slider and the receiver. Trunion is the part the barrel is attached to and the trunion is swagged into the receiver (the two sheets of steel with the rails.

Hey guys, I've notice that with out the mag in mine it charges fine, but with the mag in it charges a whole lot stiffer, don't know where you guys are finding the serial numbers are on The vector, is it the one on the lower of the vector right under the depress button? Or is it the one that's says U.S. PAT. #?. Oh I jjus picked up my california SDP.
