Need a little help with SBR info Empty Need a little help with SBR info

I am looking to SBR my SDP. I have contacted Kriss and am trying to purchase the necessary parts from them. I have never done anything with NFA weapons before , this will be the first. My trust should be complete within the next 24 hours. From there I am not getting straight answers locally. Once the trust is set up and in order, what form would I need to fill out for the conversion? I think it is the form 4 but not positive. Once that form is filled out I would mail that and the check for $200 to the BATF and wait for approval. Once it is approved do the conversion. Is there any engraving that needs to be done to the firearm? Thanks for any and all help guys.

I have already done 2 SBR with my trust so I will help you out.

you will need 2 copies of your trust

2 copies of form 4 and there is another form you will need.

I'm going out right now but when I get back I'll help you and show what you need to do.

I've never done a trust but quite a few F1 sbr builds and F4 transfers as an individual. Our local police chief is a big 2A guy so he loves approving NFA items. It's my understanding that a Trust is typically just a back door to bypass CLEO signature? May I ask why you gents went with a Trust versus individual applications?

Here is a pretty good rundown of the benefits of a trust vs. individual application... with some Texas specifics thrown in:

Yes, here are some threads that touch on the topic:

I do note some conflicting info on losing the factory warranty. Member beltfed has emails from KRISS USA stating that you will NOT affect your warranty by doing the SDP -> SBR conversion yourself. I suspect that doing the CRB -> SBR conversion yourself would be a warranty problem though (due to the barrel work). Those that are past the factory warranty are not overly concerned.

I have yet to see a picture posted of what an engraved Vector actually looks like. I think there are a few here that are still in the waiting part of the process.
