Anyone have any experience with running a can on your V? I was curious if there was any difference in running one with a recoil booster vs one without.

Sorry. All stock carbine. Suppressors are a no go here in NY.

It should work fine with or without the vector doesn't need one because it has a fixed barrel. I'm going to use a YHM suppressor

This way I can use it on a pistol .45 .40 or 9mm just by changing the adapter

I was going to get osprey but it's $300 more and the adapters are $75 apiece.

The Advanced Armament Corp Ti-RANT 45 and TI-RANT 45S ("short") look good too...

...and "The Skinny" on the S series:

Here is a video of somebody with what looks like the full-size Ti-RANT on a Vector SBR. Don't know if he's shooting it wet either (jump to 35 seconds):

Same trick with the different pistons for shooting different calibers or for different .45s with different threading:

Ive watched a lot of these videos, my setup is going to be a little different. Kind of an experiment and probably one of a kind.

I have a 5.56 yhm can for my AR15 I wish it was a QD but its threaded I might drill it out and rethread it for Kriss in .45 it weights 20oz vs 11oz of the osprey

I was talking to a buddy online about my KRISS and he said seeing the picture makes his eye itch. The faux suppressor is his big beef.

Since I cant have SBR let alone suppressors in NY I started to dream.

Then I came to the realization. Why SBR the KRISS just to put a suppressor on it? Granted if you have other pistols that can use the suppressor than you are good to go. But if you are gonna run a can on the KRISS all the time, why not save your self the money and time for the SBR and have it permanently on?

Like this.

Interesting video! A few reasons off the top of my head would be:

  • Length is still pretty darn long

  • If you have a suppressor, you are already down the road with a NFA trust (most likely), so do it "right" , even at the trade off of time & money

  • Ease of cleaning the suppressor (see AAC TiRANT shot above as one example)

  • Ability to upgrade/change out to a different model suppressor.

  • Leave yourself open to moving/using the suppressor on another weapon "later".

Others with more first-hand experience will have more to share than me... :study:
