Trigger Job Empty Trigger Job

Post by codyb Mon Aug 27, 2012 3:34 pm

Has anyone done a trigger job on the Kriss? I just received a SBR and the trigger is very heavy and long... I took one of the trigger return springs completely out and it only lowered the pull to 8 lbs 1 oz. It was about 10 lbs before... I would like to get it around 5.5-6 lbs max...

Not having my SBR till January '13 (Fed's stamp), don't know what it even looks like inside the trigger mechanism.
Does it in anyway resembles an AR15 trigger, so springs can be modified/cut/bent???
Not that I would like to experiment with mine, but I wouldn't mind, if you did yours.
LOL Smile

I messed with it again last night. I stoned the hammer, and tweaked some springs couldn't do much with the sear cause i was scared I couldn't get it back in, I got the pull down to about 6lbs, its still long but smooth and lighter than it was from factory.

Please explain what you did to the springs, bent or cut.
I know how to polish the creep out on the trigger (did for all my AR's).

All I did was used a stone to polish the hammer engagement surfaces to mirror finish, removed one of the trigger return springs, and put wilson combat ultima-lube on every moving part...

Mine was super heavy, about 10lbs before i started tweaking on it... I've got another gun coming in sometime next week, I'll put it on the gauge and see what its like... Mine is getting much smoother the more i shoot it, I've probably only got between 500-600 rounds through it, when it gets to 1000-1500 i expect it to be as good as its going to get...

Also what were they thinking on the safety, I can't disengage the safety with my thumb while the gun is in firing position.

I use my index finger to switch the safety on. You can't turn off the safety? Try to use your index finger as well. It is just as fast.
