quick detach or fixed sling mount pin Empty quick detach or fixed sling mount pin

I'm a left handed shooter so the pin mount will work perfect for me. However I have a couple questions.
1 Pertaining to the quick detach pin seeing it is of higher profile I was wondering if it would have enough clearance to move freely above my stock rear site when folded down so I dont have to move it forward as I would with the lower profile non detach pin?
2 also is there any worry about the QD pin accidently detaching causing a dropped weapon?

thanks in advance

thats really well done man. Good job. For me being left handed however it's not my best option. I just noticed when trying to order the sling and mount pin from kriss they dont have an address option for canada. Looks like they may not ship here anyway, darn.

QD will not accidentally disengage. Yes it can clear the rear sight. One issue I disliked was as a right handed shooter, the sling would cover the rear sight when folded. So you have to move it out of the way to deploy the rear sight.

Make sure you practice your left handed manipulation with the KRISS.

I tried it a couple of times and it is doable. But as you may have learned, everything is done blind. sort of like an AK for a righty, you need to reach around with your support (right) hand to rack the bolt. engaging the bolt catch takes a lot of muscle memory to do it with out looking.

One issue you need to learn is how to solve problems when they arise.

Such as a jam or FTF. For a righty, you just rack the bolt back and roll the gun to the side so that the round falls out. This is sort fo difficult if your right hand is reaching around.

By all means you can use your left hand to operate the charging handle. But then you relinquish fire control.

thanks man, Perfect, so I'm correct in assuming that the loop on top of the qd pin can rotate freely without disturbance from the layed down site?

As for left handed use, this is something that us leftys have had to overcome with the use of firearms, I seem to operate it well and have a grip attached to the front under rail it requires very little strength to charge. I'm used to this also because my jr carbine even though it can be interchanged for left or right shooters I have left the charding lever on the left side.
