Thoughts on using 200 grain bullet? Empty Thoughts on using 200 grain bullet?

Post by buddybaja Tue Mar 19, 2013 9:27 am

I was looking at some of the ballistics charts online and while i will be the first to admit that I am still a novice at this, I was wondering if anyone has tried running a lighter round in their KRISS. Velocity is greater and presumably, you should see less drop? I am thinking the biggest problem would be cycling.
Post up your thoughts.

PNW Arms is the only one that I have heard of making "tuned" ammo specifically for the Vector. I'm guessing if they thought they could build a better round for it, they would have. They did say *not* to use their Vector ammo in other .45 weapons. For what it's worth... geek

what is your local shop selling pmc bronze at? When available, my local shops in SC are charging $27 for a box of 50 pmc bronze, while it costs me $11.15 per 50 rounds reloading, and mine are match quality. Everyone saving up for the MEGA gun and ammo surplus that is coming at the end of this demand spike?

($00.589 a bullet) that price is HORRIBLE!!!! Please everyone who reads this, refrain from purchasing ammo at these prices. I know that you could shoot all those rounds and get your moneys worth of fun before the price goes back down, because shooting the KRISS is priceless, but people just wait. There will be a massive surplus soon! (I cant predict when though scratch ) Buying ammo at these exuberant prices just tells the gougers that it is OK to charge double. Im not going to be hypocritical, I have been buying up plenty of ammo at high prices as well, but I hate it each time. At this point here, its get what you can, since all stores in SC are sold out.

Believe me I know. But it is either that or freedom munitions at $404/1000 and those are reloads which I haven't had a problem with at all but I wanted to try pmc and see if it really is cleaner
