Bolt hold open question Empty Bolt hold open question

Hi guys, I just got my KRISS Vector CRB/SO in Canada and I've noticed something and wanted to see if this is normal behaviour.

When I lock the bolt back manually with the bolt-hold it looks like this:

When the magazine is empty and the follower locks the bolt back, it looks like this:

As you can see, when the mag is empty the lever isn't depressed all the way like it would be if I were to press it manually. There is no problem with the bolt locking back however. Everything seems to function 100%. I was just wondering if this is normal for the rest of you.

Thanks!

It could be due to the stiffer recoil spring and your mag. The follower is what pushes up a link to engage the bolt catch.

Does it do this with all your mags?

I only have the one magazine. I can push the link that pushes that lever up and it doesn't seem to extend far enough to push the lever all the way to its far limit of movement.

Ahh ok so the link is bad. Since you are in Canada, you might want to send it back to where you bought it so they can send it in to Kriss for repair.

Just a quick update since I forgot. I solved the problem by undoing the four hex screws that holds the bolt-catch on and removed the spacer underneath.

I viewed the armorer's course and it says the spacer may or may not be included in older and future models, so it makes me feel better about removing it.
