New Magpul QD RSA

I was all fired up to find this on the Internet today when I realized the product has not been released yet.

I like that this new magpul qd attachment point is angled rather then the Fortis which is straight.

I'm curious to know why (or if) the angled sling mount would be better for the Kriss than this one:

I assume it's okay for the rail to hold the weight of the weapon? The mounting points for the rail itself aren't really designed for that, are they?

Good question. I would find an alternate method of supporting the Vector.

If you mean the top rail supporting the weight of the Vector, that seems to be within the design. KRISS themselves make a top rail sling mount:

I just rcvd/installed my new sling mount from Impact Weapons Components...website and pics below. VERY sturdy mount....I like the fact it secures with 2 screws rather than one...takes up a bit more rail but it makes me feel better having more than a single screw.

Looks nice and sturdy. I think the magpul qd comes out in march.

looks nice, w/ eotech as primary it might not matter but if you put it in front of your rear buis you have a larger site radius, think that's term, it's distance between front and rear site, the farther that distance, the more accurate.

I see now that is is being sold by a 3rd party merchant, for me at least with Magpul that spells counterfeit.
But I ordered one yesterday through Amazon direct.

If you flip that mount to the other side for "leftys" can you fold the stock all the way (without sling attached)? I want to be able to store my SBR with the stock folded but attach my single point QD sling once the stock has been deployed.
